We prefer that swimmers sign up on the board at the pool; however, if you are absolutely unable to sign up in person, you can contact Coach Cindy via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by texting her at 720-5676.
The deadline to sign up for all meets is noon the day before the meet. The meet is closed after the deadline, so that the coaches and parent volunteers have adequate time to complete their line-ups and put entries into the computer.
A list of swimmers who have signed up for each meet based on the signup sheets from the board at the pool will be emailed (and posted on the board and website) prior the noon deadline for that particular meet. Once posted, it will become the “roster” for that meet. Regardless of your whether you plan to swim or not, it is each family’s responsibility to review the list and verify the status of their swimmer(s). If there are any changes or errors, you must notify the coaches before the noon deadline. Plans change and mistakes happen…it our hope that this “double check” will help our meets run more smoothly and efficiently. If you have any questions regarding this procedure, please speak to a coach.
When swimmers fail to follow this policy, it creates a lot of chaos and anxiety prior to the start of the meet for nearly everyone involved: coaches, host team scoring volunteers, timers, team parents, swimmers – just about everyone. If you are signed up for a meet and your swimmer becomes sick or there is an emergency, please contact Coach Cindy.
